WHAT’S IT LIKE TO BE A GIRL?

A poetic storybook for the men in my life who have asked. Inspired by true stories and relevant conversations.

THE BRIEF

This project was inspired by a phone conversation I had with my brother on a solo walk home after the sun had set. He asked me what he could do as a male to make females feel safer. Soon after, a male friend asked me a similar question — sparking the realization that most males simply (and somewhat obviously) do not realize what it is like to a girl.

THE SOLUTION

The result is a poem I wrote and then illustrated. This storybook attempts to give insight into everyday experiences that males often do not encounter or reflect upon.
